Whispering Winds' Brenna
Brenna, named so for her raven colored coat,  is the first of our foals born in 2006.  She was born June 19, 2006 and is a beautiful little coal black filly.
Her dam is our American Saddlebred broodmare, New Yorker's Encore and her sire is Highland Pines Farm's Friesian stallion, Jacob.
She is a stunning example of both the Friesian Sporthorse and Georgian Grande foal.  She is eligible for registration with both registries as well.  She should become even more lovely as she gets older based upon our experience with both the Friesian Sporthorses and Georgian Grandes.  She is getting prettier by the day!  She will be available for sale to an approved home upon weaning.
These photos were take 6-29-06 when Brenna was 10 days old
Whispering Winds' Galena
Galena is our first Drum Horse/Gypsy Cob Cross.  She was born June 29, 2006.  Her dam is our black and white spotted draft mare, Joselle, who has light feathering.  It is our hope that Galena will have the heavier feathering of her sire, Drum and Feather Farm's Spellcaster who is a tri-colored Drum Horse.  She is a beautifully marked little filly who is all legs!  It appears that she will be black and white, though it is a bit hard to tell at the present time whether she may turn out to be a tri-color like her sire.  She is a very sweet, calm filly who has already been handled on her first day and has been out in the paddock with her dam.  We expect she will mature into a spectacular, stunning mare!  As of August 5, 2006 she is shedding her foal coat and it appears that she will be black & white, and will be feathered and has a substantial build.   She has been haltered without any issues and is a sweet, calm, trusting filly.  She has made friends with Brenna & the two little ones are often found grooming one another!
She will be available for sale to an approved home upon weaning.  Please email or call for more details on her.

Photos taken June 29, 2006.  Galena & Josie were doing so well they got to have a little time in the paddock on Galena's first day!

Whispering Winds Stable has again been blessed with healthy, beautiful foals and broodmares who are doing an outstanding job as mothers.  Our maiden mare, Josie, has taken to motherhood very nicely nickering softly to her filly and encouraging her.  Encore has once again lived up to our expectations in producing another beautiful filly for us!  We are delighted to hav the two little fillies shown below, who we think based upon their breeding will mature into beautiful performance horses.

New Yorker's Encore has produced a beautiful, refined black filly from her cross to a beautiful, young Friesian Stud.  At 20 years old, she continues to produce outstanding offspring!

Last year we took a different direction in breeding two of our mares, Josie and Jazz,  to a Drum Horse and a Shire Horse respectively.  While we still have one more foal on the way, we are delighted with the results of Josie's breeding to Spellcaster.   Her lovely, not-so-little filly has proven to be brave and friendly on her very first day, having been touched all over by a human and going out into the paddock!

Continue to watch our website for updated photos and for Jazz's foal!

Whispering Winds' Phinneas
Whispering Winds' Phinneas is a lovely black and white colt out of our broodmare Jazz and the 17.2hh Shire stallion Tally Ho Laddie.  He has a pretty head, good bone, a nice white blaze & incredibly soft eyes!  He was born August 13, 2006 and he will be a BIG boy!  He should finish out well over his dam's 16 hand height!  Update May 12, 2007:  Phinneas is proving to be the tall, athletic beauty we knew he would be.  He is standing at almost 14 hh presently & has a sweet, temperament.  He stands for the farrier, is accepting of grooming & coming to like it.  He very much enjoys his heardmates! He is a bit dirty in the photos as we hadn't expect to be taking pics of him when we went out to the paddock, but the opportunity was too much to resist!
