Jazz is a big, beautiful blue roan Spotted Draft mare. She has been bred twice since she was three and has produced outstanding, tall, feathered, colored offspring. For photos of her offspring see the photos below of her offspring.
She was left open this year as we have recently been working with her getting her going under saddle. She is very good about the saddle work. She stands for grooming, tacking up, and mounting. She moves off at a walk when asked. She longes on a line and has been round penned. She also has 30 days of drive training.
She is good for the farrier either in a shoeing stock or while standing. She stands for vetting, is o.k. about worming, loads like a champ & is easy to breed either under live cover or via pasture breeding.
She is good with other horses. She has an alpha-type personality in a herd, however, where there is an established alpha she will back down rather than engage in a dispute.
She is up to date on all vaccines, including west nile and coggins for 2007. She is an excellent choice for a breeding or riding program. She is athletic & has thrown athletic, beautiful moving offspring.
We are selling her as we are down-sizing our herd due to unexpected life changes. Price:  $3,000.00

Age: 21
Size:  15-15.1hh

Encore is a wonderful older mare.  She has been a broodmare for a number of years, producing outstanding offspring.  I have owned her since 2003 and have owned 3 of her offspring all of whom have been athletic with wonderful, willing personalities.  Her most recent offspring, Whispering Winds' Brenna is an outstanding mover.  She has produced offspring with outstanding temperaments as well as having energy when asked for it (energetic and controllable). Though at this stage of her life, we have elected to stop breeding her. She would make an excellent companion horse as she is not dominant but expects younger horses to be respectful. She would also make a very good nanny horse for a breeding farm.
She can still be ridden and stands for saddling, mounting, grooming, etc.  She cross ties, stands for the farrier, for vetting and to have her teeth done. She loads like a champ. She would make a good 4H project as she hasn't had regular work in quite a while, but with some should be a great horse for a 4H'er. She would also be good as a trail horse or a horse for the weekend warrior!
She is submissive in a herd situation and has very good ground manners and would also make a nice companion horse for a horse who is in need of one, or for that young horse who needs a firm, but not aggressive mentor.
By the way, please ignore the poor form of the rider in the photos.....it's been a while since she has been in the saddle...but it also demonstrates Encore's tolerance!

Max

Breed:  Percheron/Thoroughbred
Sex: Gelding
DOB:  1/1/1991
Age:16
Size:  17hh
Color: Black with white star & 2 white hind feet
Max is a big, sweet fellow. He is a good trail horse, particularly when ridden with other horses. He has been ridden on the road as well as on trails and does well on both. He trailers well & has been ridden as a trail horse for the past 5 years as well as prior to that.
He rides English and as I understand it from his prior owner, was trained at Findlay University's equine center.
He is good with other horses. He has been with other geldings, with ponies, with mares and with yearlings (is currently a nanny horse for last year's crop of offspring) and he is very good with all of them.
I am looking for a home where Max will be ridden regularly and taken good care of as he is a very sweet, special boy. I am selling him as I don't have the time to ride him anymore & am down-sizing the herd due to unexpected life changes.Max is up to date on all vaccines, west nile, coggins and farrier care. Price:  $1,000.00, negotiable

Congratulations to Jeff & Christine Banas on your purchase of Max!! Enjoy & have fun with this big boy!  He is a fun, sweet boy with a great personality!!
